Adware Spyware Scan

An adware spyware scan will check your computer to see if it has been infected by nasty software (or malware) that can damage your personal security. This type of software can expose you to financial risk and the threat of fraud, and also tends to be very annoying. By far, the most annoying part of the software is removing it once it infects your computer - it usually takes seconds to infect you, and can take days to effectively completely remove.

The spyware usually ends up on your computer after you have installed or run a program that was infected. Often this software is deliberately infected by the person who distributed it, although at other times it is accidental. Once it is in, you may not have any visible signs that it has infected your system. Sometimes, however, there will be obvious signs, like anooying popup ads.

When there are no obvious signs, there may yet be some subtle, hard to spot ones that are there. This includes such things as a slowed computer, changes to certain files, and the home page of your web browser changing. To be sure, you will need to do a adware spyware scan.

Some adware spyware scan software does only that - it will tell you if you have an infection, but will not help you to get rid of it. The software that I prefer does some extra things to protect you.

First, it performs the scan. Then, it will delete the files.

Next, it blocks the software from being installed in the first place - it will alert you if you are about to install spyware.

Finally, it will detect spyware if it attempts to run, and will alert you to the fact before terminating the process and deleting the spyware.

As you can see, this software is much more than a mere adware spyware scan!
